Large orders like this always make me a little nervous. This customer wanted me to repaint an enormous king size bed, a huge dresser and two oversized nightstands.
They were super high-quality pieces by Lexington, over 20 years old. I usually do pick-ups and deliveries in my own town, but these pieces were so big, she had to hire movers to do the job, and even for them it was really tough.
My garage was completely taken over for a week, with all the prepping, painting and drying of these giants. It was hard work, but so rewarding! Black was her color choice, and if you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know exactly what is my go to when my customers ask for black. Valspar Furniture Paint “New Black”. I’m still totally in love with that stuff. It never disappoints me.
I obviously used my paint sprayer to tackle this monster job, and I took the opportunity to write my latest tutorial for Grillo-Designs Website on how to use a paint sprayer. It is pretty informative, so if you want to learn how I do it, you should check it out. Don’t forget to watch the video tutorial!
Here are the pictures of the finished pieces. Don’t you love this black? I never get tired of it.
Thanks for reading!
Patricia.
