This project started with the hunt for the perfect dresser. My client has a new baby girl and her nursery was 99% ready, just waiting for THE perfect dresser/changing table. It had to be unique, it had to be coral.
After a long search, I finally found a piece that she liked. A French Provincial dresser in fair shape that happened to be missing a pull.
Well, that was not a problem for my customer because she already had made up her mind about the pulls and had even bought them already!
I tried to talk her out of putting modern cup pulls on a French Provincial dresser, but she insisted and, well, the customer is always right. I admit I was a little nervous. I searched for pictures everywhere on the Internet too see if somebody had dared to do such a crazy experiment, and NOTHING came up!
Could I be more wrong? I LOVE the cup pulls on this piece.
The color is Picante by Benjamin Moore. This color has been discontinued, but Ace Hardware had the formula and can still make it.
Cheers to the creative, bold and open minded people around the world! I love to learn from them!
Love,
Patricia.
The cup handles do look cute. Maybe it’s the gold that makes it work? Beautiful color too.

I totally agree with you. The shiny gold looks perfect with the coral background.

Love this! Where did you find this piece of furniture?

Melinda, it was an old piece for sale in a furniture thrift shop. A lady I know found it for me. They are not so hard to find (I’m assuming you are in the US).
